Two peregrine falcons have settled into a South Bend nest, and the female has laid three eggs.

Three eggs are now being tended to by Maltese, the busy mother-to-be in the falcon nest atop the county city building in South Bend.

The first egg appeared last Thursday and the others were likely added over the weekend. Expert's suspect one more egg is on the way before her clutch will be complete.

It will take three or four weeks for each egg to hatch.
