Bristol home destroyed in massive fire
BRISTOL, Ind. (WNDU) - Firefighters spent a large part of their Memorial Day battling a massive house fire in downtown Bristol.
According to our reporting partners at The Goshen News, crews were called Monday afternoon to the fire in the 100 block of Vistula Street. They found the house fully engulfed and spent hours trying to put out the flames.
One person was inside the home at the time of the fire, but they were able to get out.
It appears that multiple structures were destroyed in the fire, as power lines were also reportedly down at the scene. NIPSCO was called to help make the area safe.
Fire crews from Middlebury and Osolo Township assisted the Bristol Fire Department with putting out the blaze.
