MacDonald’s farm animals featured at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair
GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) - The excitement continues this week for the Elkhart County 4-H Fair!
During its nine-day run, more than 200,000 people are expected to visit. Each year, the fair hosts over 3,800 4-H youth.
While 4-H includes more than just agriculture, animals are a big deal at the fair.
This week, you can find some of the smallest animals at young MacDonald’s Farm.
“It just brings a lot of joy to see a baby horse,” said Naomi Conkle, Equine Manager at Stable Grounds. “There were a lot of handicapped people that came this morning, and that was really sweet to watch them get to touch the animals. And there was a woman who was blind, actually, with her daughter that came in this morning, and they were like feeling the baby horse together. It’s just so sweet to see people. I just love it.”
The fair runs through next Saturday, July 27. For everything you need to know about the fair, including ticketing information and events, click here.
