South Shore Line providing extra trains for Chicago Marathon

(WNDU) - The South Shore Line is inviting you to leave your vehicle at one of its stations in northwest Indiana and take the train to Chicago for the city’s upcoming marathon.
The rail line says it will provide extra trains in the morning and afternoon on the day of the marathon (Sunday, Oct. 13).
The South Shore Line will operate an early morning westbound extra train that’s scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 5:40 a.m. CDT (see schedule below).
Additionally, the rail line will operate an afternoon eastbound extra train departing Millennium Station at 2:35 p.m. CDT (Van Buren Street at 2:38 p.m. CDT), run non-stop to Hegewisch, and end at Carroll Avenue in Michigan City.
These extra trains will not service Hudson Lake or South Bend.

Additionally, the South shore Line says it will stop the following weekday trains at McCormick Place for those attending the Abbott Health & Fitness Expo and Packet Pick-up on Friday, Oct. 11and Saturday, Oct. 12:

NOTE: Eastbound Trains 111, 115 terminate in Michigan City; Trains 11, 25 terminate in South Bend.
