(WNDU) -Video game, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” officially launches in just two weeks from today and will be the sixth installment in the Black Ops story.

For anyone who’s forgotten some of the story and/or characters or didn’t play one of the previous Black Ops games, we have a quick, summarized story recap for you.

The story starts in 1961, when CIA operatives Frank Woods, Alex Mason and Jason Hudson start a journey and prevent a plot to activate deadly sleeper agents in the United States, in 1968.

They then joined operative Russell Adler, 13 years later during the Cold War, and hunted down the Soviet spy Perseus, leader of a rogue organization, with the intent of dismantling the west.

Adler’s team stopped Perseus from detonating dozens of neutron bombs that were placed throughout Europe, in 1981.

Mason, Woods and Hudson learn that South American cartel boss, Raul Menendez had moles within the CIA, in 1986, and track him to Nicaragua, where Woods presumed him killed in action, after a fierce, personal battle.

Woods would then be tricked into killing his best friend Mason, three years later in 1989, during a CIA operation in Panama.

Menendez, back from the dead, revealed himself as the mastermind behind the Panama plot, and captured Woods.

He killed Hudson and left Woods maimed, but alive, so that he would suffer, as Menendez had suffered.

Now the Black Ops story will be set in the early 1990s, and you can find out what happens next, on Oct. 25, when “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” officially launches.
