STEVENSVILLE, Mich. (WNDU) - A popular Stevensville restaurant will be closing its doors at the end of December.

Melissa Stephens featured Full Circle Café & Espresso Bar in February.

It’s a place known for its biscuits and gravy, pastries, coffee, and breakfast and lunch options.

Owners Ryan and Jayme Bendoski opened the spot more than eight years ago, but that wasn’t the original plan.

“From the very beginning, we started as a home business, I was a home baker,” said Jayme. “And the goal was never to have a restaurant, that was never in the cards or in the plans. It just kind of all played out that way and then we woke up and were like okay, this is now our families’ business, this is our livelihood, this is what we’re doing now.”

The Bendoski’s have loved serving the community. The community, in return, has loved them. But family always comes first.

“There are songs about ‘don’t blink,’ right? You don’t realize how quickly your kids can grow and then it’s like, they have voices now. They didn’t have voices when we opened the doors,” Jayme said.

So, they made the decision to close their doors at the end of the year. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was a necessary one.

“As business owners, we’re parents first, always,” said Jayme. “So, everything that we’re doing is about how we can show them the way to move forward.”

The restaurant will close on December 22. Until then, Full Circle will continue to offer fan-favorite dishes and drinks.

“This business has been the biggest blessing to our family because it’s allowed us to show the community so much love in the form of food, you know, and like something that we’re passionate about,” Jayme said. “We just want to thank everyone for over eight years of helping us build this thing.”

There’s no word on what’s next for the restaurant space, but the Bendoski’s are putting together a cookbook that will be available for purchase later this year.
