Knute Rockne was only 43 years old when he was killed in a plane crash in a Kansas farm field. Rockne was at the height of his career with three national titles, a new football stadium, and numerous endorsements, including Studebaker. But that all ended when Rockne was killed in 1931. His death made headlines around the world. Rockne made headlines again in April of 2024 when his grave was moved to Notre Dame’s Cedar Grove Cemetery.
