CLEMSON, S.C. (WNDU/AP) - The Notre Dame men’s basketball team’s rough February continued Wednesday night, as the Fighting Irish fell on the road at No. 13 Clemson 83-68.

The Fighting Irish (12-16, 6-11 ACC) have now dropped six of the eight games they’ve played this month.

Notre Dame’s lack of presence down low cost it against Clemson (23-5, 15-2 ACC) as Ian Schieffelin had his way in the first half with 16 points and six rebounds. He would finish with a career-high 24 points as Clemson would go on to win a single-season program-record 15th ACC game.

Markus Burton, the ACC’s second-leading scorer coming in, had 30 points to lead the Irish. Tae Davis added 15 points in the losing effort.

Notre Dame goes to Wake Forest on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 5:15 p.m. EST on The CW.
