South Bend closes lanes of busy street on city’s south side

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Here’s an important traffic alert you’ll want to know about if you drive on South Bend’s south side.
The northbound lanes of Michigan Street at the Chippewa Avenue roundabout are closed so crews can repair a storm inlet.
Northbound traffic is being detoured west onto Barbie Street, then north on Main Street.
The northbound lanes are expected to reopen by Friday.
The southbound lanes of Michigan Street through the roundabout will remain open.
