Data breach at Delta, Sears may have affected hundreds of thousands of customers

Hundreds of thousands of customers may have been affected by a data breach at Delta Airlines and Sears.
The breach happened from Sept. 26, 2017 to Oct. 12, 2017, but the companies were not aware of it until recently.
It happened by way of an online customer chat service provided to customers.
The malware attack may have exposed customers' names, addresses, credit card numbers, card security codes and expiration dates.
Delta has
offering information about the breach, while Sears says it will set up a customer hotline for anyone with questions.
