Tuesday, the Food Bank of Northern Indiana received a check that will help keep kids fed on the weekends.

This is the 11th year of the "Food 4 Kids Backpack Program".

This is the ninth time that the Jordan Automotive Group has partnered with the food bank.

This year, they hope to keep even more kids fed even when they're not at school.

"[It] allows us to feed 2200 kids over 5 counties, so they have an opportunity to take food home every single weekend throughout the school year," said Milt Lee, executive director of the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. "So even when they're not in school they have a chance to eat nutritious meals as well."

It costs about $3.50 for one weekend and $140 for the entire school year.
